Quick Start

Download & Install

Windows

  1. Download the latest installer (.msi or .exe) from the releases page
  2. Double-click the installer and follow the wizard
  3. Launch MyShell Terminal from the Start Menu

MyShell Terminal supports Windows 10 (1903+) and Windows 11.

First Steps

1. Add a Server

Click the + button in the left sidebar:

  • Host: IP address or domain name
  • Port: SSH port (default 22)
  • Username: Login username
  • Authentication: Password or SSH key

2. Connect

Double-click a server card to establish an SSH connection. The terminal opens in a new tab automatically.

3. Manage Files

After connecting, click the folder icon in the toolbar to open the SFTP File Manager:

  • Browse, upload, and download files
  • Create, rename, delete files and directories
  • Modify file permissions

4. Server-to-Server Transfer

Use SFXP to transfer files directly between servers:

  1. Open the SFXP panel
  2. Select source file and target path
  3. Click transfer — files move directly between servers
